Everyone (except Obama?) cheers Gabby Douglas’ Kellogg’s endorsement deal

We have a feeling that $90 million figure is B.S., but set that aside.  What’s really interesting is the total absence of class envy on Twitter:

Gabby Douglas signed 90 million and her mom was working 3 jobs.I never wanna hear anyone ever say anyone criticize the heart of a champion.

Notwithstanding the Left’s daily harangues against the Romneys (jet skis! #youpeople! dressage!), most Americans do not resent capitalism and do not consider wealth to be inherently evil — at least if they feel it was earned as a result of hard work.

We have a feeling President Barack Obama, however, isn’t too happy about Douglas’ newfound wealth. Remember?

“I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.”

“Spread the wealth around.”

“You didn’t build that.”

Well, Twitter thinks Douglas — not Obama — built her gold medal victories:

Tim Philips: Obama to Gabby Douglas "you didn't earn that gold medal! Somebody else built the roads to the gym." #dream12 #tcot #fb

— Nicholas Horton (@nhhorton) August 3, 2012

I congratulate Gabby Douglas and the US Women's Gymnastic program for their Gold medal wins! Yes They BUILT THAT and deserve all the credit!

— claudia roazen (@claudiafire) August 3, 2012

#GabbyDouglas — she built that. #Olympics

CNN says Gabby Douglas chartered her own destiny. She built her own destiny? You mean Obama didn't do that for her?
